Trivia

Tonight's special is veteran TV personality Bob Hope's contribution to the "blooper" craze. He has dipped into his seemingly inexhaustible file of past shows to offer such bloopers as Lucille Ball blowing her lines in a gangster sketch, a snow machine that wouldn't work in a skit with Loretta Swit, and Sammy Davis Jr. flat on the floor after missing a song cue. Included is Hope's personal favorite: Bob, Bing Crosby and John Wayne were rehearsing a special at NBC several years ago with Don Rickles across the hall as guest host of Johnny Carson's Tonight Show.
