How I Met Your Mother executive producer Stephen Lloyd has closed a new two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. Under the pact, Lloyd will continue as executive producer on the upcoming final season of the studio’s CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother, on which he has been since Season 1, and will join another 20th comedy series the following season, ABC’s Modern Family. Himym creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas “rely on Stephen tremendously, and we couldn’t imagine not having him on the show for its pivotal final season,” 20th TV chairman Gary Newman said. “It also speaks to how much we value Stephen that he’ll go straight from there to our incredibly important Modern Family the following year.
