Storyline

As any detective can tell you, investigating missing property or deaths is comparatively easy compared to elusive missing people. However in New York City, there is a special unit of the FBI that is designed to find them. Using the vast resources of their bureau, the team, lead by Agent Jack Malone, race against time in the tight 72 hour window after a disappearance while hope for a recovery is still typically possible. Goofs

In more than one instance, suspects being interviewed with a polygraph answer all the control questions (Is your name John Doe? Are you 39?) truthfully. In reality, a suspect is told to answer all the control questions "yes", whether true or not, to determine the accuracy of the polygraph machine. See more »

Quotes

Samantha: [about a missing person's father] He's barely got a pot to piss in and he's taking his daughter to a $300 dinner on a Saturday night?
Jack Malone: Well, think about it. He abandons her when she's a kid. He doesn't know how to deal with it. Now he wants to be her best friend. It's classic guilt.
Samantha: Is it guilt or romance? You don't go to Carmine's unless it's valentine's day or you're going to propose.
Jack Malone: How would you know?

I wish the 5 original players would be reinstated in the future.
22 January 2007 | by (Budapest/Los Angeles) – See all my reviews

The show is still very good though my friends and I, who watch it together, agree with another viewer that Ms Sanchez ruined an excellent #10 show. There were already two women and a Spanish-American on board, so the show was politically correct and the ensemble fantastic. I never wished anybody (besides Hitler and heads of the soviet Union) to die, but I heartily wish that Ms Sanches' character would be shot for good and the show would return to its previous magnificence. Well, then I could purchase the following seasons' disks as well as those I had without Ms Sanchez' not enjoyable and unwanted presence. Could there be a possible hope in that direction? What a great thing it would be.
