Invader Zim was reportedly canceled after two seasons due to poor ratings from its target audience of kids aged 2 to 11. Despite its cancelation, Invader Zim has become a cult classic, receiving critical acclaim and ranking on various "best animation" lists. Fans of Invader Zim continue to show their support through conventions, reboots, and the purchase of official merchandise, solidifying the show's legacy.
Invader Zim may have forged an enduring legacy, but the series still ended after just two seasons. Created by cartoonist Jhonen Vasquez for Nickelodeon, the animated dark comedy unapologetically pushed the boundaries of children's television with morbid, counterculture humor and the grisly nature of its overarching storyline. Invader Zim followed the titular alien as he attempted to conquer Earth and enslave the human race under the order of the Irken Empire — a mission he repeatedly failed at to hilarious effect.

In Jimmy Neutron, Libby Folfax's voice actor may sound familiar from other TV shows as well as some video games. Continuing from the 2001 animated feature Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, the cartoon series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius is a series that aired on Nickelodeon from 2002 to 2006. The story follows the titular Jimmy (voiced by Debi Derryberry), a young boy genius who gets into fun adventures with his friends and family. His class at school included a number of characters, such as Libby Folfax, the best friend of Cindy Vortex (Carolyn Lawrence), and the love interest of Sheen Estevez (Jeffery Garcia).
While she also appeared in the movie, Libby Folfax became a fan favorite on the show. After season 1 of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, she was even added to the title logo. Libby also changed immensely at the end of that first season, switching her hairstyle...

Welcome one, welcome all to the most dreaded Bachelorette night of this season. Normally, the two-on-one is the most anticipated night since watching two contestants face off is usually hilarious and occasionally ends with the villain being left alone on a windy beach, but the show's current villain is not a guy who's fun to watch. He's a smirky jerk whose best defense to everything is that he doesn't understand the other person's point of view, especially when the other person isn't a southern white wannabe gentleman with wannabe Jimmy Neutron hair. Kenny tried to calmly and carefully defend himself against all of Lee's smirks, and Will tried to explain the history of black...

We’re over 4 seasons removed from Linsanity and somehow Jeremy Lin is still relevant in the NBA. This is a man who I consider to be the smartest guy in the entire league. It’s not because he went to Harvard. It’s because he’s stretched Linsanity into the longest career that shouldn’t be a long career in the history of the NBA. Not to mention millions and millions of dollar for basically not ever having to play a full season because of injury. This is a guy who once in a while has a great game, shows some talent and turns

A quarter century ago, on May 27, 1988, fans said goodbye to the freckle-faced, mismatched, puppy-loving titular character of "Punky Brewster."
The series ended with the only family left in Punky's life -- her golden retriever Brandon -- getting married to his fellow canine Brenda in the courtyard of their apartment building. Kibble was thrown, boas were worn and barks sounded throughout Chicago. Check out a clip below.
The show may have only lasted four seasons, but "Punky Brewster" left a lasting impression and made pre-teen Soleil Moon Frye, who played the little leading lady, a household name.
In 1989, she co-hosted "Girl Talk," based on the board game of the same name and co-starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, but the show only lasted one season.
After a decade of being known only as Punky Brewster, Frye made her triumphant return to TV in Season 5 of "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch." She'd had stints on "The Wonder Years,...

We have got the latest on a fun new family comedy getting Nickelodeon’s green light. The new series is called The Thundermans and it will follow an unusual pair of twins. If you’re into superheroes, you’re going to want to pay close attention to this scoop.
The 14-year old twins will be acted by Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo. As brother and sister, they get to experience the highs and lows of sharing the same bathroom, school, and younger siblings, explained the THR exclusive. That may be their lives on the surface, but underneath it all, the boy and girl are as different as night and day; good and evil.
You see, she is smart and classy and people just love her. She fully intends on becoming a capable superhero someday. Her twin brother on the other hand is already a young super villain. Let the drama and mishaps ensue!

Phyllis Diller, who was considered the first American woman to become known on a national level for stand-up comedy, died Monday in Los Angeles. She was 95. Diller got her first national TV exposure in 1950 as a contestant on Groucho Marx's quiz show "You Bet Your Life." She was particularly popular in the '60s and '70s, appearing on the top comedy, quiz and variety shows of the day, including "What's My Line?," "The Andy Williams Show," "Get Smart" and "The Carol Burnett Show." Her first film role was in William Inge's "Splendor in the Grass" (1961), starring Warren Beatty and Natalie Wood. More recently, Diller appeared on such TV shows as "Boston Legal," "The Drew Carey Show," "7th Heaven" and soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." Actress and comedienne Phyllis Diller, a groundbreaking performer who paved the way for female comedians everywhere, passed away in her sleep this morning, at her Los Angeles home. She was 95 years old at the time of her death. Here is what her agent Fred Wostbrock had to say about her iconic career.
"She was a true pioneer. She was the first lady of stand up comedy. She paved the way for everybody. And she conquered television, movies, Broadway, record albums, nightclubs, books, and radio. She did it all. A true pioneer."
The comedy legend was born Phyllis Ada Driver in Lima, Ohio in 1917. After a stint as an advertising copywriter, Phyllis Diller got her big break at the age of 37, when she first performed stand-up comedy at the San Francisco nightclub Purple Onion. Her act often revolved around her fictional husband named "Fang" and self-depricating humor about her looks. In the 1960s and 1970s,...

Steven Banks ("SpongeBob Squarepants," "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius") has been hired to pen Arnold Schwarzenegger's upcoming "The Governator" animated series. "Throughout my career, whether it has been in body building, movies or politics, my philosophy has always been to bring together the best specialized talent to create projects that people will love," said Schwarzenegger. "Having Steven on board to head up the writing for 'The Governator' series is a fantastic next step." The series follows an animated Schwarzenegger who, after leaving office in California, takes on a secret identity as a crime-fighting superhero, with the help of an elite squad of teenagers.

Steven Banks has been hired to lead the writing team for The Governator. We shared the trailer for the 52-episode series will feature the voice and animated image of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a super hero bent on beating the bad guys and the forces of evil. Earlier we reported that the TV show was created with input from Stan Lee, and that it will eventually lead to a 3D feature film.
Here is what Arnie had to say about the project:
When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘the Governator,’ I thought the word was so cool. The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And [this cartoon] brings everything together. It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies…
The trailer looks Horrible, I don't think that Banks hiring as a writer will be able to save this show.

Briefly: As the giant 'Wtf?' of Arnold Schwarzenegger's animated series The Governator continues to crawl towards release, we're getting a few new details. We know that the icon is returning to entertainment with the show, which follows a politician-turned-superhero, that the show was created with the input of Stan Lee, and that it will eventually lead to a 3D feature film [1]. Now Steven Banks has been hired to lead the writing team for the show. His primary credits include a long stint on SpongeBob Squarepants and head writer credit on The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Does that mean The Governator will be more light-hearted and fun than we've expected? Truthfully, probably not. The trailer [2] already suggested that anyone older than eight shouldn't expect much here, and Arnie has explained that, It takes my entire career, basically, whether it is bodybuilding, action movies, if it is the governorship,...
