Long before Gal Gadot donned the tiara and bracelets for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and her subsequent solo movie, Warner Bros. spent many a year looking to getting a Wonder Woman movie off the ground, with Joss Whedon boarding the project for a couple of years in the mid-2000s in what proved to be a failed attempt to bring the Amazon Princess to the big screen.
One actress high on Warner Bros.’ shortlist for the role of Diana Prince at that time was Kate Beckinsale, and speaking to Yahoo Movies, the Underworld star has (rather diplomatically) explained why she passed on the opportunity:
“The incarnations that I was seeing were… They weren’t this one [the 2017 film],” said Beckinsale. “Also, I don’t know if I was desperate to be in a leotard. I’d already done the rubber trousers. You have to take in that you have a »

Nearly three months after the release of Wonder Woman, which has just crossed the $400 million mark at the Us box office making it not only one of the biggest success stories of the summer, but the crown jewel of the Dceu, it's easy to forget what a difficult road to the big screen Diana had. Despite the fact that Wonder Woman is as important to DC Comics history as Superman and Batman, it took 75 years to get her on the big screen. Luckily, it was worth the wait, as director Patty Jenkins and company got things right.

Cast your mind back to New York Comic Con when Kate Beckinsale, star of the long-running Underworld franchise, seemingly let slip that Marvel Studios were working on rebooting Blade, be that in the form of a feature film, a spinoff Netflix series, or a role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. much like Ghost Rider before him.
Speculation spread across the interwebs like wildfire; after all, the character of Blade (Aka Eric Brooks) still resonates with comic book fans years after his last screen appearance, and after portraying the badass vampire hunter numerous times himself, Wesley Snipes continues to hint that there is something cooking over at Marvel.
Sadly though, nothing has come to fruition – not yet, anyway. Still, fans remain hopeful that Brooks can one day stage a comeback, possibly carving out his own place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the process – as an R-rated feature, perhaps? That’s a »

When it comes to dressing for a long-haul flight, even celebrities opt for somewhat causal looks. They go for comfort, and dress in easy-to-wear pieces like blanket scarves, vintage t-shirts and cutoffs and airy maxi skirts. But other times, for reasons we can’t quite understand, stars dress in fancy, chic attire fit for a date or night on the town.
Most recently, Kate Beckinsale was spotted arriving in London looking like anything other than a person who just spent more than eight hours on flight.
