illusion versus reality

I just saw this film on German television. At first, I thought it was a professional film, made to look amateur. Then I read the credits: Two graduates of the Munich Academy for TV and Film directed and produced this. Congratulations, guys! The action takes place in New York. A starving actor who can't find work resorts to earning his money by putting on a Santa suit. Disillusioned, he leans against posts and smokes while in his Santa suit, irritating the passersby and their children. The absurd reality is broken when a young woman in an angel suit shows up. She points out that Santa shouldn't smoke in public, and entices him into a strange dream world. Will reality prevail? Although a swearing, smoking Santa is not recommended for children, this film is definitely worth seeing! The images, the sound, the editing, all elements are sophisticated, professional and very enjoyable. The audition scene in the film was especially funny to me, an amateur actor. This film is probably especially appealing for people who work in some area of film, stage or television.
