Storyline

Jake Silver, a television producer, arrives in Miami to work on the morning show, GOOD MORNING MIAMI. What he sees is a utter mess; for instance, the anchorman, Gavin Stone, is a recovering alcoholic who is pompous and arrogant, as is the anchorwoman Lucia, and the weather girl is a nun. Frank, the man who brings Jake there, is extremely neurotic. And his assistant Penny is obstinate. Jake is about to leave when he meets Dylan, the station's hairdresser, and decides to stick around to court her; the only problem is, she's already involved with Stone. But on the advice of his grandmother Clair, he decides to stay and see if he has a chance. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

Trivia

The show contained numerous references to Feuerstein's earlier work. There is a moment where he chews out Gavin in front of the audience and Penny remarks, "That's one Fired Up little yuppie!" (a reference to his role on the short-lived sit-com "Fired Up"), a moment where he drinks hard liquor and his voice gets hoarse (he did the same thing after eating food that was too spicy in "Woman on Top"). And he remarks that his hair highlights are natural (which he also did in "What Women Want"). See more »

Quotes

Penny: You know what? The funny thing is, you and I are exactly alike. We make decisions with our hearts, and then let our heads handle the cleanup.
[starts to sob]
Penny: I just wish your heart had picked me.

What a bunch of garbage. It's like they took the tired, dead-horse, that is the ongoing Ross and Rachel saga on Friends and turned that single, tired plot into a sitcom. It has no substance beyond that, so you can expect rotten, predictable plots involving "near misses" and "close" calls and veiled innuendo. Since the show revolves around this, it's not like they'll ever actually hook up or there's no show. So, it will be a non-stop roller coaster ride with every episode ending in the weekly reason that they didn't hook up.
