(1979 TV Mini-Series)

When Guus Verstraete, who had directed the two previous Bassie & Adriaan adventures, was unavailable for this one, another director was hired, who also brought an entirely new crew with him. However, after only a few days of shooting, this director left the project after a series of arguments. As no other directors were available, Aad van Toor was offered the chance to direct, which he accepted. Upon doing so, he also replaced most of the new crew with people who had worked on the earlier series, including cinematographer Mark de Blok and editor Rob Klein.
