Nobody takes the directive “You Better Work!” to heart more than RuPaul Charles.

From club kid performer to chart-topping singer (“Supermodel”) to hit reality TV mogul, RuPaul has gone through more careers than wigs over the years. But underneath the pancake make-up, he has always been a savvy entrepreneur – one who succeeded in nearly every part of the entertainment industry while staying true to himself and his beliefs.

“I’m happy that the industry has acknowledged our show,” he told IndieWire, after news broke of his Emmy nod for Outstanding Reality Host. “However, being nominated is being part of the establishment, and drag is not part of the establishment. It never will be, it never can be.”

When the cameras are turned off at the close of his nightly Rio-based show, Ryan Seacrest is just getting started.

Seacrest, who is moonlighting as NBC’s late-night host, has been even busier off the air than he is on, filling his popular social-media accounts with all kinds of Olympics-themed video.

On Monday, he became the first celebrity to produce one of the Instagram Stories on the Facebook-owned platform’s curated channel devoted to this new feature, which was just deployed last week.

Seacrest drew from his experiences in Brazil covering the Summer Games to inform not only the new Instagram feature but the bevy of different digital beachheads from which he has been driving engagement that goes far beyond his late-night perch on NBC, including Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat.

Tritonal And Jenaux Team Up With Adam Lambert On “Broken”

12 August 2016 8:40 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Tritonal are back with a new single today, teaming up with rising producer Jenaux and former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert on “Broken.” Tritonal had previously remixed Lambert’s single “Ghost Town,” so a full blown collaboration with the vocalist was inevitable.

“Broken” features a summery, radio friendly production. Distorted vocal samples open the new single alongside warm synths, before Lambert’s smooth vocal delivery takes over. Light percussion elements soon join the mix, building up into offbeat drops driven by staccato bass hits and an upbeat meldoy.

Tritonal and Jenaux merge their styles to great success here, delivering an uplifting production that suits the catchy vocal hooks from Lambert well. All in all, this is another strong release from the duo with plenty of crossover potential due to its star power.

In related news, to coincide with the release of “Broken,” Tritonal‘s upcoming new album Painting With Dreams goes on pre-sale today, »
