  • At one point Sam Houston calls Dr. Grant, a critic of him a "Scottish Catamite", which almost results in a knife fight until Jim Bowie breaks it up.

Violence & Gore

  • The death of Jim Bowie is particularly brutal, and while not much is seen because he is in a dimly lit room, the audience can hear the groaning coming from him as he gets bayoneted to death.
