• In the episode Daddy's Little Girl, the WB originally planned to air it without bleeping the word "shit". However, this decision was changed sometime over the weekend before the episode aired.
  
  
• The character 'Andy Brown' was ranked #43 in TV Guide's list of the "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time" (20 June 2004 issue).
  
  
• For the first two seasons, the possibility of a romantic relationship between Andy and Nina was a popular subject for fans on the internet. The shows writers and producers answered this in the season three episode "Sacrifice", with Nina realizing that she's in love with Andy.

She was supposed to be a part of season five, because her show, "What About Brian" (2006), was not expected to be picked up for season two, but it was.
