...avant la lettre, of course.
Saw this at an Austrian Short Film Festival at the Schikaneder cinema two days ago. A story which has very much beauty in simplicity in it. A man and a woman from Japan who've known each other a long time ago (probably at the university) meet in Vienna. Talk ensues about how and what they miss about Japan (which is, of course, also the place they grew up before having to leave out into the world and have jobs at place where they feel alienated).
The most fascinating thing about this movie is how so much is said without words, for example when they spend the night together in her apartment, just listening to Japanese music on shared earphones.
Beautiful. See it if you can (it also takes less time than "LiT").
