Lets be blunt Alice in Chains music videos suck. I dont mean concert videos I mean the MTV type ones. They are all so poor and cliche. This is one reason why this concert footage is so delightful
I dont need to tell fans of the band to go and buy this they probably will anyway. With Layne Staleys sad death, you can either see Jerry Cantrell or buy this, and for the full AIC experience this is a great alternative to a sweaty mosh pit.
Ok so maybe not a full portrait of the bands amazing career, but a great insight into their early days featuring early classics like Man in a Box and Love Hate Love. The latter is superbly performed and with the bands tragic downfall, puts shivers down the spine.
The footage itself is great, the grainy black and white an excellent companion to the music. Staley is in fine voice and quite scary with his stream of t shirt changes and tight pants. Starr is fun to watch, try and spot his face through his streams of bobbing hair.
After the adrenaline pumping gig their are three alice in chains music videos. Simply turn down the contrast till the screen is blank and enjoy the songs on their own.
Whether you are an avid AIC fan or just a passer by you will not regret purchasing this video.
