I stumbled over Dexter's prep here at IMDb and remembered a trip I made to Los Angeles 2001. On this trip I amongst other things watched when they recorded the pilot for Dexter's prep. I remember that there were a few laughs and that this was due too great actors (Stephen Root in particular) that made the most of a limited screenplay. From the start I thought that this could actually be a hit because of the good actors and the timing of the "punchlines" but I realized rather quickly that this TV-show would be just another TV-show that wouldn't stick. It's not that often that I visit Los Angeles and certainly not often that I watch the recording of a pilot. It would have been nice if it would have been a hit-show! But I haven't heard anything about this show so I guess it didn't make it to the screen... Sadly that doesn't surprise me...
