Storyline

This comedic period drama is about the tales and exploits of Nanxing Li, a loafer by day and a hero (in black) by night. Hongkong actor Bobby Au-yeung is the goofy but righteous magistrate, while his mother Pei-pei Cheng is a stern disciplinarian. But perhaps the greatest breakthrough is Fann Wong as a loud restaurant owner with a reputation for being fierce and shrewish. Written by Anonymous

Worth watching with subtitles
3 July 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

There are many ingredients to an excellent show, good writing, actors with talent who go all out, smooth transitions in action, plot, and character relationships. This show has all of this done with in an authentic scenery backdrop for the time period. This is a comedy. It is based on the problems/awkwardness of love while hiding your secret identity. There are some leaps needed to fully enjoy this show: Magic type flying, running over tall buildings and in trees, crazy fight scenes, and tongue in cheek often sarcastic humor. There is lots going on and that is where my wife and I got great pleasure in watching it whenever it was on. 10 STARS!
