Hogan's short run ends!
19 May 2002 | by (Nashville, TN) – See all my reviews

This event was much improved from the last Backlash. The crowd helped too as the Nashville crowd was much louder then the crowd at Backlash. First match was a good opener as Eddie Guerrero defended his ic title against RVD. Then we had Trish Stratus defend the women's title in a short match with Stacy Keibler, the wrestling sucked but both women looked hot! and after the match we saw a confrontation with Bubba & D-Von! In the 3rd match of the night Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman took on both the Hardys! Stone Cold then took on both Big Show & Ric Flair in a handicap match. Match 5 was one of the best matches of the night as Edge defeated Kurt Angle in a hair vs hair match and later in the night would shave him bald in a great segment! Triple H and Chris Jericho had a really good hell in the cell match next, unfortunately no big falls and nobody going through the cage but still pretty darn good. Next it was Rikishi and a mystery partner taking on Chuck & Billy for the tag titles, the mystery partner was revealed as Rico! and they went on to win the tag belts! And our main event saw Undertaker challenging the immortal Hulk Hogan for the world title! this was also the main event 11 years ago which is sad, but not as sad as the actual match it was pretty horrible to watch but we did get a new world champion! Overall the event was really good despite the main event! 8/10
