One of the greatest arcade games ever invented!

Renegade (1986) in my opinion was one of the best arcade games ever made. The concept is a real cool one. You control a guy who get's into all kinds of trouble with a local Mr. Big. He's made life miserable for you and he's got your girl. To get her back you have to fight through a gang of young bikers, mean street girls, hardcore street trash and an army of professional hitmen. This game was the one that started it all.

A few years alter the same gaming company came out with the legendary DOUBLE DRAGON!!!

I have heard the original japanese version deals with the low level Yakuza types. The biker gang is based upon the young punks that run around in motorcycles that are employed by low level gangsters, the street girls are based upon deadly prostitutes/fighters. Nobody how much they try to tame it when it was released in the United States it's still a gritty, violent and hardcore arcade game!

Highly recommended, if you can still find a machine!
