The new CBS drama Stalker has just added two more names to its cast, as Warren Kole (The Following, Common Law) and Erik Stocklin (Mistresses) have both landed recurring roles on the first season of Kevin Williamson’s latest project.

Stalker stars Dylan McDermott (Hostages) and Maggie Q (Nikita), both of whom play detectives in the Los Angeles Threat Assessment Unit tasked with investigating cases of stalking. Kole, who has worked with Williamson in the past, will be playing Detective Trent Wilkes, the lead detective in the Robbery Homicide Division of the Lapd who finds himself in a turf war with McDermott’s character, Jack. Stocklin, who had a small part in the pilot as Perry, an introverted college sophomore, will be reprising his role on the show in a multi-episode arc.

McDermott’s most recent roles, aside from his stint on American Horror Story, have been on series that were unfortunately short-lived. »

24: Live Another Day Recap: Targets

Back in 2002, during the lead-up to the premiere of the great, short-lived Robbery Homicide Division, executive producer Michael Mann, who had made the groundbreaking decision to shoot the program on digital film, was asked if he was going to take advantage of the new widescreen TVs that were starting to become popular. The implication in the question was this: Would the director of Manhunter and Heat bring his trademark “cinematic” style to TV? He said no, that, like his Miami Vice and Crime Story, he designed the show to fit the square box of TV.This very astute awareness of the difference between TV and movies has always stayed with me, and it popped into my head while watching last night’s hour of 24. Uh-oh: Justin Bieber's in trouble with the cops again

14 May 2014 12:58 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Los Angeles (AP) — Los Angeles police detectives are investigating allegations that embattled singer Justin Bieber tried to steal a cellphone at a family entertainment center. Police spokeswoman Rosario Herrera said Wednesday that a person accused Bieber of trying to take the phone Monday night at the facility that features miniature golf, arcades and batting cages in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood. Police didn't give any other details. Herrera says detectives from the agency's elite Robbery Homicide Division are investigating the allegations. Phone and email messages left with Bieber's attorney, Howard Weitzman, and publicist, Melissa Victor, weren't immediately returned. Prosecutors are still considering whether to file charges against Bieber over an egg-throwing incident in January that damaged a neighbor's home in Calabasas. Copyright © 2014 The Associated Press.
