Trivia:
"Game Makers" was originally broadcast under the title "Icons" for the first four seasons. In 2005 the show was renamed to "Game Makers" while G4 began a spin-off series named "Icons" outside the realm of video games which profiled pop-culture celebrities. Credits and titles of rebroadcasts were retrofitted to read Game Makers instead of Icons. moreFAQ

Icons is shown on G4TV (136 for me) and usually airs in the morning.
Each episode is a documentary of a big title in video games. Usually it's about a series (Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive, etc) but it sometimes is about a console or a company or something else. They shows the good and bad times in the history with occasional interviews and opinions. Every episode is as informative and interesting as the next. For example, did you know that there was a console that played arcade games and was sold at $600! (Of course, you had to buy the games, which were sold at $300.)
If you love video games, this is your type of show!
