1st ppv since Brand Extension!
22 April 2002 | by (Nashville, TN) – See all my reviews

Well there was originally 10 matches for the card but we only got 9 as Regal vs Spike was scrapped. The WWF decided to take $5 from our wallets for each of their ppvs now but at least this one went 2 hours and 53 minutes so that's good hopefully all WWF ppv's will now go closer to 3 hours. First match of the night was a good one as Kidman defended his cruiserweight title against Tajiri. Next we had a reunion of the Acolytes as Faarooq came down to watch Bradshaw's back as he took on Scott Hall in a crappy but short match. Jazz then defended her women's title against Trish which was well it's the women's division that's all I have to say. The "next big thing" Brock Lesnar made his somewhat impressive debut against Jeff Hardy, I hated the ending and the match was too short however Brock looked good I suppose. Possibly the match of the night was next as Kurt Angle took on Edge, this match had a lot of drama towards the end and Angle for 2 ppvs in a row might have just had the match of the night. Next was suppose to be the match of the night was probably disappointed a lot of people as RVD defended his ic title against Eddie Guerrero, this match was only 11 1/2 minutes and the ending sucked. After that was a long! 26 minute boring match with the Undertaker and Stone Cold, the ending will hopefully be interesting for Raw but the match sure wasn't. After that we had one of the worst tag teams ever Billy & Chuck defend their belts against Al Snow & Maven and in a decent match I suppose but nothing special of course. And our main event was Triple H defended the undisputed world title against the 48 year old Hulk Hogan and they actually decided to make Hogan a champ. I like Hogan but WCW having all the old people as world champs hurt them so I hope WWF knows what they're doing, overall it wasn't that great of a ppv. No T&A, no tables broken, no hardcore, no Jericho, Rock or Booker T matches, I'd give this ppv a 7.
