LOST FILM, 27 February 2003
Author: eva25at from Vienna, Austria

The negatives of all eight british films of Ronald Colman have probably been destroyed during the 1941 London Blitz. Not even the basic plot of this film is known. It was completed in just one day. Colman was paid 1 Pound. The film was produced, directed & photographed by film pioneer George Dewhurst who also wrote the screenplay. Colman played the lead in this two-reel comedy, his partner was Phyllis Titmus, and all the action took place in one room in an ancient house. Colman not only acted, but moved props & furniture as well. The result, according to Colman was "lamentable and uneven" and the film was never released.
