Arguably the best of the bunch .
16 March 2005 | by (England) – See all my reviews

The 1998 edition of the long running king of fighters series is arguably the best of the bunch. It has all of the right ingredients for a KOF game : A generous amount of nicely balanced fighters to choose from ,lovely graphics , catchy theme tunes and painstakingly detailed backgrounds.

The only real problems are a damn near unbeatable boss, and gameplay that can only be fully appreciated by a person who already knows about KOF already . If you are one of these people though , then these wont be an issue for you - you will be having to much challenging, projectile flinging fun to care .
