Six contestants spend a day with each other competing in various physical and mental challenges. During this evaluation day players decide who's good/lacking in various elements of trivia and strength. The next day, game day, challenges are presented and the gameplayers vote for the person they think most likely to fail the challenge. If the person fails, they are banished to the Dog Pound. But if the successfully complete the stunt, they then vote off one of the people who voted for them. Players are whittled down until only two remain. They then compete in a head to head competition to discover who's the Top Dog. But it's not over yet! Host, Brooke Burns personally said that her favorite "prank" among the Dog Eat Dog games is when the competitor has to strip off what he or she is wearing, as they try to complete their challenge, she calls it "strip darts". See more »
You know exactly why you tune into Dog eat dog each weekend on GSN - Brooke burns is a sexy lady and watching women swim in their bikinis (and if you're a lady, watching all the fit and thin guys go shirtless.) generally, the only reason Dog Eat Dog was so popular, was it's sex appeal. You cannot deny it.
And if any of you caught my older review of this, I wrote it at the tender age of 14. I was a stupid, brainwashed, sheltered teen who should've had a less radical Christian upbringing.
The game goes as follows - 3 guys and 3 girls are sent to a camp to get to know each other in multiple categories, and the next day they're brought to the studio to play the game. depending on whom they believe is weak for the challenges that are laid out for them, they must vote out a specific person for that challenge, until it is down to 2 of the contestants, who go head to head, in which the winner faces all the eliminated contestants in the "Dog Pound" and he or she must pick the eliminated contestants to answer the questions. if the dog pound gets 3 questions right, they each win $5,000 where if they get 3 questions wrong, the last contestant standing wins $25,000.
Back when the show debuted, I had just turned 12 and pretty much went bonkers over the show. any 12 year old hitting puberty would love to watch women 10 years his senior strip down to bikinis (and even less on the strip-games.) but of course the same went for girls watching guys 10 years their senior doing the same.
Bottom line, Dog eat Dog is on GSN on the Weekends.
