Justice League: breaking down the new trailer

25 March 2017 12:17 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Mike Cecchini Mar 27, 2017

There's so much DC superhero stuff hidden in the new Justice League movie trailer that we broke it all down for you.

Well, it sure took them long enough, didn't it? We've been waiting since last July for an 'official' trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League movie. At San Diego Comic Con 2016, Warner Bros. unveiled a reel of footage, but it wasn't what they were officially calling a trailer. But this one is something different, and it reveals lots more about what's actually happening in the movie than that initial footage.

So the first thing you should do before I start overanalyzing every piece of this thing, is you should watch the trailer yourself if you haven't seen it yet.

Here it is...

The biggest thing to note here is that they're still aggressively pushing a very different tone (if not look) from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. »

14 March 2017 1:00 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Did you see that big Jennifer twist coming?

On Scandal Season 6 Episode 5, it was revealed that Jennifer was very much alive and Jake was trying to turn over a new leaf.

TV Fanatics, Jasmine Blu, Jim Garner, Sarah Hearon and Christine Hinton discuss the big twist, Jake's new take on killing and Rowan's new boss.

Jennifer is alive. React!

Jasmine: I know this is Scandal, and these sort of "gotchas" happen all the time, but they got me. I genuinely thought she was dead. I was pleasantly surprised-- shocked, that she is alive and kicking. I cannot wait to hear what she has to say.

Jim: Ok, first, I'm shocked that Jake didn't actually kill her. However, I have to ask about the reveal. What was she doing sitting in the dark in a cabin all alone? How did she not have a light on in the other room, or the TV, »

Exclusive Interview: Dominic Monaghan talks up new movie ‘Pet’

10 March 2017 12:25 AM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Dominic Monaghan, star of Lord of the Rings and Lost, stars in new creepy thriller, Pet. In Pet, Monaghan stars as Seth, a shy and reclusive young man who passes his days working at his local dog shelter. His life changes however, after a chance encounter with Holly (Ksenia Solo), an old school crush. In a bid to get closer to her he starts stalking her and devises a plan to make her his forever, and it involves a very large cage.

Things aren’t quite as they seem as this clever film subverts expectations and goes into some very interesting territory. The film premiered in the UK at Frightfest last summer, and whilst there, we sat down with Monaghan to get a deeper perspective on the film.

Apart from Pet, what is your favourite scary movie?

My favourite scary movie in recent years is definitely Let the Right One in. »

Joe Corallo: You’ve written at Aspen Comics for a number of years now. How did No World come to be? Was this something you thought should be happening, or did Aspen approach you with an idea and you ran with it?

Scott Lobdell: It was 100% Aspen! They have been making overtures over the last few years towards stitching their different sub-genres together – so they could paint a more »

“No Such Thing As Half-Life 3”, according to report

12 January 2017 7:50 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Has there ever been a more mythical game than Half-Life 3? We have looked for signs of the games arrival in every nook, and cranny (even in our fast-food items) over the last decade, or so with no luck. Half Life 3 is truly the unicorn of the gaming world. We hope every year that Gabe Newell will give us a shred of information… something, anything regarding Half Life 2: Episode 3, or Half Life 3. At this point, we are all prepared for the worst.

Well, that may be for the best, because according to a report published over at gameinformer.com, it is likely we may never see the game at all. In the report, an anonymous source, allegedly from Valve, is interviewed. Just a heads up: the author does state in the article that this information could not be verified, but if true, there is a wealth of information being offered up here. »

“There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hook in my heart not because it was good.  It was ‑‑ there was nothing good about it, but it was effective, and it did its job. »
