Welcome The Anti-Muppets, 28 April 2005
Author: Ethan Cabel from Canada

I'm Canadian and this show is my favorite on TV right now. You can call me a fan of black humor and thats exactly what this show embodies so well; a sick, twisted sense of violent humor that I think television needs....and now has.

The premise of the show is simple but if your not used to it you could get annoyed; puppets exist equally with humans and have sex, kill and talk with people on the same level. There's four that live in halfway house with a timid social worker; Dan Barlow (played by Dan Redican of the Canadian comedy troupe The Frantics).

The four puppets are Rocko; the overly aggressive, chain smoking dog. Bill; a murdering phycho ventriloquist dummie (most dummies you only expect to be like this; this one will actually kill you)-hes also my favorite character, his deep vioce and bluntness will crack you up. Buttons; the sexaholic teddy bear who always finds himself in desperate circumstances. And Cuddles; the emotionally disturbed, obsessive comfort doll (thats irony for you).

Puppets Who Kill is also an excellent social commentary on Canada's government, laws, Canadian TV and the military. Pin-pointing our problems and using it for hilarious self-loathing humor (ex. the episode "The CBC is Killin' Again").

Make no mistake; the jokes are sick, irreverent and absolutely hilarious. That makes it the best show on TV and definitely the best Canadian show so far. Welcome the Anti-Muppets!
