Ham and Bud decide to forsake their bachelor ways and go to a matrimonial agency. They are both told to meet the same young lady in the park. The resulting complications cause the mirth.

Storyline

"I'd rather get married than batch with you as the cook," said Ham to Bud on a summer's morning, when Bud's stew proved particularly tasteless. "You've got nothing on me," Bud retorted. "I was thinking of acquiring a wife myself." Whereupon without further ado our boon companions step forth in quest of wives that can cook, and live on nothing per week. Ham calls at a marriage broker's office in search of his dream girl. When he is shown the portrait of a raving beauty and told to procure a marriage license and wait that afternoon in the park for her, he does a little raving himself, after paying the fee exacted by the broker. Bud calls later in the day and is shown the identical picture that had set Ham's heart to pounding. He, too, takes up his station in the park to wait for his bride-to-be. After an all-night vigil, Ham and Bud awake to a realization that they have been gloriously stung! Whereupon they make a bee line for the marriage broker's office, capture the girl and start for...
