Storyline

Kevin was commissioned to shoot the first ever short film aired on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The result was the return of Randal and Dante from 'Clerks' in this six-minute-long short film shown on The Tonight Show and downloadable at the View Askew web site (www.viewaskew.com). This short is a discussion of the absence of the "flying car" and the hypothetical question posed asking "what would you do to get a flying car?" Funny dialogue between characters leads up to a hilarious punch-line which ties it all together in a Kevin Smith trademark style. Written by Bobby Bokista <www.virtualfools.com>

Trivia

Before becoming a short film, the conversation between Dante and Randal in the traffic jam, took place in the original Clerks 2 script as they were making their way to a Soul Asylum concert. See more »

Goofs

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): A local anesthetic is specifically designed to not render the patient unconscious. A "local" which, as Randal describes, would knock Dante out, would in fact be a general anesthetic. See more »

Quotes

Randal: Need I remind you this is for the flying car?
Dante: It ain't worth it.
Randal: See? You're what's wrong with this country, hell, with this world. You're always thinking about your own comfort level, never thinking about the rest of us. This country was built on sacrifice, and nearly thirty years of living a life full of selfish foot pampering and inter-gender intercourse has made you too soft to throw your hat over the wall for the good of mankind...
