A college student on a holiday break visits his very rural hometown, of which his father is the sheriff. A suspicious death has occurred there, and is being met with little investigation. Soon, similar "accidents", each involving electrically-powered devices, claim several more lives, prompting our young hero to embark on a dangerous amateur investigation. Is this all simply random coincidence, or the work of a madman? Is it possibly the result of something...supernatural? The visually unappetizing EVIDENCE OF POWER is a very rudimentary affair with the unpolished look of an early made-for-TV movie. The likable cast of veteran character players do the best that they can with the infecund material and an uneven script. It's watchable, and does retiringly effectuate a burgeoning of suspense, but it's such a picayune project that it's almost like watching nothing at all.
Verdict...a barely existent wisp of a movie. Subtract yourself.
