I wonder why no-one has commented on this film... It is one of the best films I have ever seen... meaning rearranges itself according to the shifting patterns of ancient histories and the harsh realities of the present and past, life slips away and lost family arrive from the cold plains, man woman and animal exist and struggle together while the cold gaze of the western voyeur is buried beneath the icy snow... it is long but captures the lives of these nomads like i have never seen any film manage to do its subject is similar to atanarjuat but its story is based in the reality of one family as they struggle to survive the photography is stunningly beautiful and often bleak see it if you get the chance
