Originally the eels in the film were going to be created by the American CGI team, and looked similar to a giant moray eel with a more sinister grin. But to save money, the American eel was scrapped, and the work was handed to the Bulgarian CGI team. See more »

Talk about hitting the bottom; this is one of the worst movies ever made. This is another pile of rubbish from the folks at the Sci-Fi channel. Intelligent electrical eels are melting the Arctic ice cap. They electrocute the crew of a deep sea research station. The United Nations, from its new headquarters in a high school auditorium, dispatch a military and scientific team to investigate. Headed by an attractive male-female pair, the team dies in reverse order of likability. Nothing to see here, folks, move along please . . .
