Although the ratings don't show it, this was a good pageant. It started off with some great guitar riffs as the contestants were introduced. This was an awesome and cool opening. The best in a few years. The contestants wore some funky jeans and other clothes in a combination of red, white and blue. This was to show patriotism after the terrorist attacks. There was a top twelve this year since there was a three way tie at the tenth spot. Deon Sanders was a pretty good host all around. The swimsuit segment was spectacular this year as they posed against flames in the background. The final five caused a little controversy among pageant fans because four of the final contestants were black. Though I felt they deserved to be in there and the judging was very objective. Unique final question asked to the delegates was what is the darnest thing about man that gets to you. This may have the lowest ratings of any Miss U.S.A, but I enjoyed it.
