Australian Survivor debuted in 2002 to much speculation. But it had troubles from the very beginning.
From atrocious theme music, poor host choice, poor editing and an unoriginal logo or slogan (or lack of it), to a cringe-worthy "Auditions Special", Australian Survivor severely damaged the popularity of the hit "Survivor" brand, especially in Australia.
This forgettable and uninspiring series also had one of the worst locations ever - merely a nature reserve in South Australia.
In a much-criticized move by the Nine Network, Survivor: Marquesas was pulled from being broadcast after this dismal ratings flop. Survivor: Thailand was subsequently aired.
The theme of the program was about shipwrecks that often occurred in the area. This series was shipwrecked from the beginning. It doesn't even deserve a 1/10.
