Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A VERY violent game though most of it in the cutscenes is more implied than anything and usually isn't directly shown. It also has a very violent and dark atmosphere.
  • A character wears sheep skin on his head. A character wears a human skull as a mask and is a cannibal. *His story revolves around wanting to eat the guy that fractured his mind.* Various body parts are shown waiting to be eaten in a cutscene. Several stabbings and killings are shown, but again are usually not seen directly. The gameplay revolves around killing the other drivers.
  • When you blow up other vehicles the driver runs around on fire while screaming in pain.

Profanity

  • Yes. One use of mf'er but it's censored out. Other uses of piss, damn and hell.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None that I recall. The contestants spend their time in a mental asylum so I highly doubt there is any.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is the sole reason for this game's M rating. A VERY frightening and intense game. The whole game has a bleak and psychotic vibe to it. All of the characters are psychopaths who have killed and done other horrific crimes in their past. Not recommended for young children.
  • If Twisted Metal: Black (2001) was a movie, it would be R: For Intense, Over the Top Scenes of Vehicular Violence and Carnage, Language, Disturbing and Frightening Scenes, and Some Bloody Violence
