Compelling evidence
srhamm-118 February 2006
This documentary chronicles evidence where the real Mount Sinai probably is. I found the travelers to be credible, and their evidence compelling. I've seen similar documentaries by others discussing other sacred topics like where was Jesus' real tomb, was the shroud of Turin a fake, and can we find Noah's Ark? This documentary does a good job of not building hopes up without reason, allows for being disproved, understanding the limits of evidence (i.e., doesn't call evidence "proof"), and best of all, doesn't purport some crazy urban legend (like "Did aliens create crop circles after all?"). I think public television should have no problem justifying airing of this program. I'm looking forward to the feature movie based on these two men's journeys.

Truly fascinating documentary

This is a truly fascinating documentary that seems to prove, using ancient writings, the actual location of the Biblical events starting with the Red Sea crossing through the location of Mt. Sinai. It was one of those that once started, you can't turn off. Very well made with all the bells and whistles of computerized graphics supered over the historic maps and topography, this program will probably change maps!

Outstanding! Well researched, excellent graphics and breathtaking video!

This video was really excellent! Bob Cornuke and a former politician (forgot his name, sorry) go to Saudi Arabia to find the real Mount Sinai. Although they record several hours of video, they're apprehended by the Saudi police and are forced to discard most of their video information. (I'm sure there's an interesting story about how they got caught and subsequently got released from the police that's left out of this video but I hear the adventure may be made into a Hollywood movie). Without the video evidence, the trip seems pointless until they find out about another Western family who recorded video on their 14 visits to Mount Sinai. Most of the video footage of Sinai in this DVD appears to be from this family.

The video and computer animations are really first rate. The site detailed in the video is remarkable and the account is very credible. I would really like to see a director's cut DVD with more video footage.
