  • The Sci-Fi version is heavily edited to take out all gore.
    • When Officer Burke's car get's hit by the log, the scene where his head gets crushed is deleted.
    • Eugene's Crushing has no blood.
    • We don't see Evan's eye get hit by the ladder
    • When Tim gets crushed, we don't see it but at the end when Kimberly is having flashbacks you can see it.
    • NOra's death is altered
    • We only see Rory's face when he gets sliced
    • Kat is not shown in her death


  • The theatrical release features a shot that is missing from all DVD versions: when one of the victims-to-be gets his hand stuck in his kitchen sink trying to retrieve his lost ring, the threatening disposal blades below are not shown. The commentary track on the DVD mentions that this was a last moment add-on which heightened the menace and tension of the scene considerably. Alas the commentators were seemingly unaware that the print used for the DVD was one were this "last minute" addition had not yet been added. Two brief glimpses of this missing shot can still be seen in the trailer.
