The producers of this documentary did an amazing job! They found people from all walks of life and tell truly humbling stories that really ground you and bring you back to what is important. Without giving anything away, it is a chronological sequence of historical events and stories told by the people who lived and endured every second of it. I would say it is age-appropriate for public school children of almost any age. I am a middle school teacher and would use this documentary for grades 6 and up. Some of the historical content may be too advanced for children any younger, but there are still wonderful lessons to be learned from the first-hand accounts given.
