I love this show!

Forget about the plot and most of the props, this show is addictive. Mars is hot as, and there is such sexual tension between Mars and Kate. There is something intriguing and special about this show that makes it interesting though, and keeps me hooked.

Jonathon M Shiff has done some great kids shows, well actually only ocean girl. ignore cyber girl lol.

Does anyone remember "Spellbinders?"

It doesn't have to make sense, its a computer game! And we love it!

(MIGHT contain spoiler..not sure what that would be defined as so i ticked the box).

So, take 3 kids, a random computer game, and a few islands full of pirates. What do you get? Pirate Islands! I'm not even supposed to like kids TV anymore, but now I make an effort to get up every morning so as not to miss an episode. Thats a big enough task to do on its own. Blackheart is so much fun to watch, the talking plant 'Belle' is pretty cool, not to mention Oliver (Mars) is walking hotness. Carmen reminds me of how I would act if put in a situation like that. Okay, so I wouldn't be that nasty, but something similar. She seems to be the only character with a sense of realism, even if it makes her look a bit off to the rest of them.

Okay, so I've read that some people think the show lacks logic..like the mobile phone working on the island when there's no satellite dish. Well technically, the children are in a computer game. If the game coding is set to allowing the phone to work, it would work, satellite or not, just as it allows the plants to speak. (Well...sorta) So I say to you, the game runs off its own logic, not ours, look at it that way. Great show, kudos to all involved.

I'm watching my old videotape of the show now...this program is so minty! me n my sister is are like in love with oliver Auckland or whatever (mars) and i love the assistant of the leader pirate guy (dougall) coz hes so random and funny! anywho I'm getting into the pirate fever now coz of pirates of the Caribbean and this show plus the latest fashions at supre and glassons remind me of pirates! my favourite quote of the whole series is when mars and Kate come back from the river all wet and stuff and the little sisters all like: what happened?! and the girls like: nothing... and mars is like: ...much!! i couldn't stop laughing and my bestie loves it too. anyways even though I'm like 15 this show is waaaay addictive and to tell you the truth i enjoy watching it more than season 3 of the oc...and thats like big for me coz I'm a total OC fanatic.

So good memories.

I love this show.. Long time since i have watched it, And now after many attempts to find it again, I finally did.. And it did not disappoint.. The actresses in this show should be more famous..

So you say your 16 and too old to enjoy this show...well Im 22 and all I can say is that your crazy if you don't like the show, even my 50 year old mum liked it and used to watch it with me....myself, Im hanging out for the new series which I've heard is in production at the moment. Anyhoo, this show is really fantastic, its fun, adventurous, exciting and most of all Oliver Ackland (Mars) is a real cuttie, mmmm. lol:)

I know I shouldn't watch it (being after all 16 and above kid's shows) but there's something about this show that makes it really fun to watch. Maybe it is the sense of fun that pervades it, and the fact that most of the kids are good actors and there is real tension between Kate and Mars. Plus the idea of being in a computer game is fascinating.

I first saw Pirate Islands one day when I had gotten up early and decided to veg out on the couch watchin cartoons. It was the last show on the Foxbox so I was a little tired of cartoons and glad for the humans. I was even more glad when I saw an extremely hot specimen of human. Oliver Ackland is his name and driving me crazy must be his game because as soon as I saw this cute boy I realized I was going to have to watch this show A LOT! Which is exactly what I have done. I have done my best to record shows I wasn't home for but I've missed some. I really hope they will put out a season dvd or tape. I know I'd buy it. Of course Oliver (0r Mars as he is in the show) isn't the only reason I watch the show. It has a general fun quality to it. Also, it is fun just to throw yourself into something that is just childish enough to let you have fun but not so bad that you sit there in utter disbelief. I guess to sum up Pirate Islands I'd have to say that Mars is cute, the plot is inventive, and the dialogue funny. I wish I was an alien so I could give it more than two thumbs up :)!

Well, i don't know about you, but i have watched this show twice already!!! Apart from the fact that Aukland is hot, the thing i love about this show the most is the crazy and creative characters they come up with. I love Blackheart the best, he's so angry and really needs to get a life. Anyway, i'm not really that into Kate, Mars is more fun. I never watched the last episode and am so frustrated because i was looking forward to it so much! I am 16 and i love this show! actually i loved all Jonathon M Shiffs work. Ocean Girl was another of my absolute favorites. You could be any age and still watch Pirate Islands, anyone who thinks differently is silly.

BRING ON SEASON TWO!!!!! :D

The last episode of Pirate islands was just shown here today (June 30) in Australia, and now that i have seen out the series I realise how much i was addicted to the show. So much so that I got my brother to tape the episodes which i couldn't be home for, and I was so distraught when he couldn't tape them for me and I had to miss out. How obsessive!

There is something which allures one to this show. Once you start watching you're addicted. i don't know if it's the whole concept that's alluring (how crazy, to be zapped into a computer game!- yet how fun!), if it's the characters (I feel Oliver Ackland might have something to do with it), or if it's the storyline and the adventure that comes with it. Whatever it is, the whole thing comes together perfectly and makes for very lighthearted, pure fun.

It's great escapism- fantasy is the best genre.

I am happy to discover that many 16, 17 even 20 something year olds love this show, despite it being a kids show. That's how cool it is.

I hope it comes out on DVD...

I can't wait for series two!

I'm not gonna cry if I miss an episode of this... ok... I do timer record it if I think I'll be away :D!!

Okay, so the story is a little far fetched... make that VERY far fetched... a special mention HAS to go to the whole mobile phone working in the islands when there isn't a sattelite to begin with.

Nevertheless, I find that I'm actually quite anxious to watch this little show everyday weekdays, I KNOW it's supposed to be a children's show... I'm 21, and loving it... a major part is perhaps... no, DEFINITELY... Oliver Ackland (Mars), the boy hits us with a couple dose of charisma and charm and I'm glued to the TV set, though the boyish smile he flashes now and again definitely doesn't do any harm!

Its not meant to win Emmys, or even maybe Logies... But once you get pass the plot holes and illogical ... erm... logics, that are often applied, and watch it for the bit of fun it's supposed to be, I think its a show that could be enjoyed by all, good bonding time with the little kids and the mums/dads, a little eye candy for the girls... MAYBE not go so well for brothers or single men in their mid 20s and older though... :)

I love Pirate Islands because Mars is so cute. I love all the action and adventure. It makes me so mad that Fox took it off the air because I missed some of the episodes. Pirate Islands, i thought was a great, exciting movie. The company that produced the movie should be reconsidering to make another movie. Thats how much i enjoyed it. All the actors that are in Pirate Islands were fantastic, they weren't fake or hard to understand. The plot was not expected, as you didn't no what was going to happen next, which is more enjoyable. The theme was different to other movies that i have seen in the past and present. The setting was out off this world, its good to see that a lot of imagination has gone into this production. So i really encourage people who are reading my review to go out and watch it, its that good!

Rip Off? Yes and No...

Of The new movie Pirates of the carribean thats out now. They should've just changed the story, keep the characters, and call it Pirates of the Carribean! It's a good show. It's the shows that u dont see often. Im 17 going on 18 and i love the series. After seeing Pirates of the Carribean in theaters it gets me excited to see the series.

I love this show so much and was very happy when i realized its alright for me, a 15 year old to be watching the show! I love it. I was wondering though, if there was going to be a series two, if anyone knows please write back onto this message board, and tell me, Thankyou...Creaming Soda.
