Star Fox Adventures is very different from all of other Star Fox games. Most of the time, you fight on foot with a magical staff that has numerous abilities. There aren't very many arwing missions and they don't last very long at all.
The reason it is so different is because it wasn't originally meant to be a Star Fox game, but a game called Dinosaur Planet for the Nintendo 64. At the very last minute, they made it into a Star Fox game for the GameCube. It may disappoint some Star Fox fans because it's so different. However, the game makes up for it in just about every other area.
First off, the graphics are absolutely incredible. The areas in the game are not only beautiful, but the graphics make them look breathtakingly real. These are some of the best graphics I've ever seen on the GameCube.
The music is also fantastic. It's very peaceful sounding and coupled with the beautiful graphics, it makes you feel very relaxed. As a result, after playing this game, you just feel so much happier.
The graphics and music may be soothing, but there's plenty of exciting action. You get to fight enemies with the staff and use its numerous powers to overcome all sorts of obstacles. Like in the original Star Fox games, there are also arwing missions where you get to shoot down enemy ships in space.
In my opinion, this is one of the most fun, best-looking, and best-sounding games ever made. The fact that it was so different from the other Star Fox games didn't really bother me, but it may bother other fans. I still think you should give it a try.
