Trivia

The video for "Tonight, Tonight" is a tribute to A Trip to the Moon (1902). Directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris filmed the video the same way Georges Méliès did his film. They used a 70-year-old, hand-cranked camera shooting only one angle on a single set See more »

Amazing how GOOD this band is
30 August 2003 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The Smashing Pumpkins are definitely one of the best bands of the 90's. Their lyrics are always entertaining and meaningful, and their songs just sound good! This movie is a great movie for the band. It's basically a library of their best songs/videos. And are their videos ever entertaining. With the exception of one video, all their videos break away from the usual rock band display of 'live' concerts, and smashing guitars. Instead their videos are very entertaining, each of them telling a story...which sometimes seem to have no link to the meaning of the song! None the less, the videos are very fun to watch. Other then the videos, the only other feature are commentary by the band, and a short film called 'Try'. The short film is a bit disturbing, but it carries a message. Anyways, all in all, I would give this film an 8.9 out of 10, and recommend it to any Smashing Pumpkins fan.
