This title can be enjoyed by the novice and gonzo documentary watcher. The technical quality of the archival footage used in the three main episodes is reasonable. Narration and the few veteran comments are straightforward without inducing coma. There is little Rah Rah us. The provocations and motivations are more balanced than most coverage of the Dastardly Deed.
Three episodes, each about 40 minutes -
1) Win First, Fight Later: Covers the attack prelude. Interestingly, this goes back to Perry's intrusion 88 years earlier. Nice footage and coverage I have not seen before.
2) Day of Infamy: The gonzo watcher will have seen most of this but with a sightly different take in the presentation.
3) Waking A Sleeping Giant: The political reaction. Interesting bits on the immediate suspension of Due Process - even Bush the Second has not gone that far, yet ...
Extras: December 7th: Rather poor copy of the banned short produced soon after the attack.
Japanese Documentary: Interesting short with an instrumental sound track.
Commentary: US veterans (excerpts in the main episodes) and some of the Japanese players which seem to be from a post war forum.
I have a number of documentaries covering World War I and II and still found this title interesting. Connie even enjoyed it and was not compelled to find something more interesting to do while I watched. You might give it a spin.
