I attend every local premiere I can, and this one was very unique and fun, especially for an independent film. Instead of the usual pseudo-star-studded effort, they instead had a local bodybuilder introduce the film who gave the audience a personal perspective on the sport and its history. In this case, the bodybuilder was a woman rather than a man, which added another dimension to its uniqueness. The movie was fun and engaging. The bodybuilders were excellent actors and there is a mad scientist character that is outrageously funny! It had some great music, especially the theme song. There was also a nifty cartoonish animation at the beginning that set the movie up nicely. The end credits were also fun with some interesting creative touches and a fun outtake powered by some driving rock tunes. I left wanting to go workout, which in fact I did. I look forward to the DVD!
