Demi Hits More Trouble on 'Charlie's Angels' Set

9 December 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Tensions on the set of the new Charlie's Angels movie have reached boiling point - with Demi Moore' s co-stars banning her from socializing with them. Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, who all appeared in the 2000 movie together, are reprising their roles for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, but have reportedly not taken to Moore's presence. The feisty trio have resorted to banning the Striptease star from using their luxury facilities, which include a private dining area with a special chef, their own exercise room, massage tables and a comfortable lounge. According to American tabloid the Star, the screen beauties also couldn't help but notice that Demi's dressing room is every bit as fancy as theirs - and that she's getting the same perks. »

Demi Moore's Expensive Makeover

15 November 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Hollywood actress Demi Moore is looking stunning at 40 - thanks to a $400,000 total-body makeover. According to sources, the Ghost star had Botox injections in her face at a cost of $4,000 three times per year, $10,000 surgery to replace her breast implants with smaller ones, $15,000 liposuction to suck fat out of her stomach, buttocks and thighs, and collagen injections in her lips, plus other skin treatments for $6,240. On top of that, the ex-wife of Bruce Willis also hired a nutritionist at a coast of $22,000, a personal trainer for $25,000, a $15,600 yoga instructor and kickboxing coach costing $230,000. And Demi has even had her teeth whitened with porcelain veneers, costing her a whopping $16,000, according to experts' estimates. A pal of Demi - who is making a new comeback in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, tells American tabloid the Star, "Her body is her fortune. She can't afford to let herself go if she wants to stay in show business. She's spent like crazy to keep that youthful figure, but when you consider the millions she's made that's nothing. She's magnificent. But she's really worked at staying beautiful. She has the body of a woman 20 years younger, thanks to exercise, good diet - and some plastic surgery." »

Sexy actress Demi Moore's perks in the new Charlie's Angels flick have already ruffled the feathers of her co-stars. The G.I. Jane stunner managed to clinch a role in Charlie's Angels 2: Halo alongside Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, the stars of the new movie's predecessor. But the trio of actresses are reportedly appalled that Moore, who plays a villain in the film, has her own special hair and make-up people in her entourage. Ratner wearing director's cape for 'Superman'

26 September 2002 | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

Brett Ratner has come aboard to direct Warner Bros. Pictures' action-adventure feature Superman for producer Jon Peters. Preproduction will begin immediately, with hopes that filming will begin by April or May. The project, written by J.J. Abrams, is being billed as a reimagination of the Superman legend based on the DC Comics classic character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Abrams' script was written as part of a trilogy with an elated Ratner already declaring that "the two sequels I hope to direct as well." The announcement comes a month after the studio halted preproduction on the dark Batman vs. Superman and turned its attention to the more hopeful Superman. Originally, Charlie's Angels helmer McG was expected to direct the latter project, but because the studio wanted to move forward immediately, McG had to step down because he is working on Charlie's Angels 2. »

Charlie's Angels star Lucy Liu insists she's not responsible for Bill Murray's decision to pull out of the film's sequel Halo. The couple reportedly failed to get along on the set of the 2000 action movie, and Murray has now said no to a sequel. Liu says, "I think Bill Murray is amazingly talented and funny and he added to all our characters and would bring amazingly funny lines to it and would give us some direction for where he thought a scene should go. It was such a shame when I heard he wasn't coming back but I hope to work with him again in the future." »

'Charlie's Angels' Plan To Shut Down Hollywood

4 September 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Bosses at Hollywood's Entertainment Industry Development Corp are still discussing the planned closure tomorrow night and have yet to give Barrymore and the crew a decision. EIDC chiefs are trying to find a compromise which will keep the Boulevard open to the public and to traffic. A spokesman says, "The companies generally ask for the world and we bring their feet back to the ground." The planned Charlie's Angels shoot is part of a bumper summer of movie making activity in Los Angeles - location filming is 38 per cent up on last summer. »

Demi To Return - With Angels?

9 August 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

The former highest paid woman in Hollywood Demi Moore is set to return to the spotlight with a high-kicking role in the new Charlie's Angels movie. According to Britain's Daily Sport newspaper, Bruce Willis' ex-wife will play a one-time Angel gone bad in Charlie's Angels 2: Halo, giving heroines Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu a run for their money as they try stop her selling off top secret US government data. Demi, who proved her tough girl credentials in 1997's GI Jane, shot to fame with 80's bratpack film St Elmo's Fire, and had huge hits with Disclosure, Striptease and Ghost. Her star has faded since the late 1990s, as she left Hollywood to bring up her three daughters in a more stable environment, but the Halo role could bring Demi back to the public's attention with a bang. An insider tells the newspaper, "It's a fantastic role for Demi - a real bad girl part. Drew convinced Demi that the role was right for her. It will give her the opportunity to go over the top and have a lot of fun." »
