Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Nothing.

Violence & Gore

There's a scene where Draco Malfoy is [spoiler]attacked by Buckbeak the Hippogriff.

Harry and Sirius are attacked by Dementors. They attack in a very violent way and Harry and Sirius are shown suffering.

Harry and Hermione are attacked by the Whomping Willow. They end up with a few scratches and a bit of blood

In a scene, professor Snape is thrown away at the wall and gets knocked out.

There's a fight between a werewolf and a dog that's actually an animagus (a wizard who can transform into an animal). They bit each other in a very intense way, and later, when the animagus returns to it's human form, some blood is shown in his face.

Hermione punches Draco in a scene.

A large dog growls and charges at Harry.

Harry uses magic to inflate his Aunt, and she floats away.

A book tries to bite Harry. This may sound weird but it is actually kind of intense.

A Hippogriff is killed (off screen). Harry and Hermione go back in time and save it though.

You can see a man sharpening an axe.

Profanity

A few hells

Three bloodies

Two damns

One crap

One use of bitch, but in its literal form (to describe a mating female dog).

In the oppening sequence, Marge, Vernon and Petunia drink some brandy.

professor Mcgonagall, Fudge and Rosmerta drink some alcoholic drink from a bottle.

The Dementors appear in many sequences

A werewolf chases Harry and Hermione into the forest.

There's much tension caused by the dementors.

Lupin transformation into a werewolf is very intense.

The shrieking shack, a derelict house, is involved in the movie several times, and may be very sinister for many children.
