- In the casino there is only one queen, the small ball that spins on the roulette table. None of the players pays the slightest attention to the female dealers. But Takis, a «perennial» med student, doesn't go to the casino to win millions but to earn a day's wages. Vera works in a gym but trains and gets a second job as a dealer. Her aim is to protect her mother since regulations forbid relatives of employees from entering the casino. Let her Dad knock himself out. There's no way he'll ever play roulette again! At some point, Takis and Vera become lovers. They rig a game at the roulette table, leave the money with her mother and hide out in a friend's house, where their romantic dream soon succumbs to the wretched conditions in which they live. When her father dies of a heart attack in his Jeep, Vera suddenly finds herself with money. At the funeral, the manager of the casino threatens to send her to prison...—Anonymous
- Takis (Emilios Chilakis) is a medical student who spends time in the casino to earn money. He wins at roulette and has a science to winning, one that encompases a philophosy to gambling which he adheres to strickly. When he gets kicked out of school for cheating his mother refuses to accept his phone calls and he goes to the casino where and older gambler Leo Nakopoulos (Spyros Stavrinidis) wins by playing Takis numbers. Leo is also the local union leader and is involved politically in gaining rights for the union workers. Leo is a gambling addict and has to borrow money from loan sharks to play, and he has gotton roughed up because he loses and cant pay the money back. Leos daughter Vera (Maria Solomou) consoles her mother about Leos gambling problem as well as the drinking and smoking he overdoes when he gambles. Vera works as a physical trainer at a gym but gets schooled at gambling games so she can make more money working at the casino and also prevent her father from gambling since a rule of the casino is that relatives cannot gamble when a reletive works as one of the gambling staff. The Casino Manager (Mei Sevastopoulou) tries to dismiss Vera dues to her friendliness with Takis but when the woman offers to sleep with him the Casino Manager relents and instead has Takis beaten up. Leo turns to Takis and agrees to fund his gambling for a split of the profits, a scheme Takis agrees to, to be nearer to Vera as he has fallen in love with her. Takis falls off his game due to the pressures that Leo and his assisants put on him, so he and Vera plan out a roulette scam that will gain them a sizable amout in one night. When they win the money they leave it with Veras mom and leave the country. The Casino Manager (Mei Sevastopoulou) knows of their plan and take steps to bring them to justice.
