Frequent sexual references, with talk about prostitutes, losing virginity, "bedding" other people, and sex

One of the main characters is a prostitute.

[Serenity] A man and woman have sex while gasping and moaning. Bare shoulders and backs are shown, but nothing explicit. A woman bathes while naked, and a man walks in on her. One character says that an enemy will "rape us to death." A woman is seen in frozen and naked. Her genitals, breasts, and butt are obscured.

[Shindig] A scene of a naked man and woman in bed after having sex, including a long shot of the woman's bare leg. Everything explicit is covered by a sheet.

[Our Mrs. Reynolds] A young woman seduces several men and even appears to seduce a woman. She makes poetic and somewhat explicit references to sex. She appears naked once, but only her shoulders are shown. A man pins a clothed woman to the floor and she writhes sexily beneath him.

[Jaynestown] A man and woman embrace in bed after sex. Nothing explicit is shown.

[Out of Gas] A man and woman are seen from a distance having sex against a wall. They are naked, but blurred. Moaning and thumping can be heard.

[War Stories] One woman gives another naked woman a sensual back massage, and then they kiss passionately. It is implied that they have sex. Nothing explicit is shown.

[Trash] A man sits in the desert naked. Buttocks can be seen for couple of moments.

[Heart of Gold] The crew visits a whore house with some sexual activities going on.

[Objects in Space] A man threatens to rape a woman.

Gunfights and action sequences are common. They include blood, and mild injury detail.

There is a particularly violent scene in the episode "Arial" in which a device causes many mens eyes, noses, mouths, and ears to bleed everywhere.

In the episode "War Stories" There is a moderately violent torture scene.

One of the characters is a doctor, and we frequently see him stitching up wounds.

In one episode, a man crushes another man's jaw.

A man is shot, and we see a large and bloody wound on his chest.

In one episode, Mal is shot and throughout the whole episode we see him bleeding heavily. At one point he is forced to inject himself with and adrenaline shot. We see him writhing and screaming.

In the episode "Heart Of Gold" There is a 7 minute fight scene. Though there is not that much blood, but lots of people die.

Infrequent use of "son of a bitch." Moderate use of "whore." Other profanity is in Chinese for the most part.

Men are often seen in bars drinking, often drunk.

[Heart of Gold] Someone makes a reference to a large group of women having once been "strung out on drops."

Intense situations all throughout the series.

Some scenes are hard to watch.
