News of the Ron Perlman-led series’ Season 2 pickup comes the same day that Amazon renewed The Man in the High Castle and Red Oaks and ordered several new series, including the ’60s-era drama Good Girls Revolt and a comedy starring writer/comic Tig Notaro.

Amazon Picks Up Slew of Comedy, Drama, Kids Series

Following the series order for “Good Girls Revolt” and the second season renewals for “Man in the High Castle,” “Red Oaks” and “Hand of God,” Amazon has picked up three comedy series, plus one more drama, Variety has learned.

Tig Notaro’s comedy “One Mississippi” was picked up, in addition to 30-minute series “Highston” from Sacha Baron Cohen and “Z: The Beginning of Everything,” which stars Christina Ricci. The drama “Patriot” has also been picked up. Additionally, Amazon ordered kids’ series “Danger & Eggs, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” and “Niko and the Sword of Light.”

Dark comedy “One Mississippi,” starring comedian Notaro, is a story loosely based on her life. A co-production with FX Prods., the series follows her as she deals with the complex reentry into her childhood hometown of Bay Saint Lucille, Miss., to deal with the unexpected death of her mother. Amazon Announces Its Fall 2015 Pilots

Amazon Studios has unveiled its line-up of the six pilots it intends to premiere on the streaming giant's service this Fall.

As per usual, users will get to vote on the pilots and thus help determine which ones will go to series. So far only a few shows have gone on to series including "Bosch," "Transparent," "Hand of God," "Mozart in the Jungle," "Alpha House," "Catastrophe" and the upcoming "The Man in the High Castle" and "Red Oaks".

David E. Kelley's upcoming legal drama "Trial" starring Billy Bob Thornton is Not included in this batch as it's expected to go straight to series. This round of potential series includes:

Amazon has released first looks at its line-up for its next pilot preview season, which includes shows starring Max Martini (The Unit), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Tig Notaro and others.

Comic-Con 2015: Interviews with the Cast of MTV’s Scream TV Series

The tensions are rising along with the body count on MTV's Scream TV series, and last week at Comic-Con, Daily Dead took part in roundtable interviews with the show's cast, who discussed mixing creepy moments with comedy, the original Scream films, and much more.

Amadeus Serafini on his suspicious, new-in-town character, Kieran Wilcox:

"He's the brooding type. He is the new kid in town. He just lost his folks a few weeks back and that's the introduction to Lakewood, and he very much makes a move on Willa [Fitzgerald's] character Emma, and has a clash where it becomes a love triangle between Connor [Weil's] character, Will, Emma, and himself. That's pretty much all I can reveal for the time being and you're going to see how it unfolds over the course of this series."
