Poona-based Satish is a professional photographer and lives with his pregnant wife, Sudha, and son named Vinod. While developing some photographs with his friend, Shyamlal, they come across one that shows a man strangling another. They report this to the police, and shortly thereafter several men show up at Satish's house, take the photos, the negative, kill Satish, then go to hunt and kill Sudha, Vinod and Shyamlal, but they manage to escape and travel to Bombay, albeit separately. Sudha gives birth to a boy and names him Ravi. Years later, Vinod, who lives with Shyamlal, is a police inspector, while Ravi, who has taken to a life of crime, works for a gangster/respectable citizen named J.D. alias Jogeshwar Dayal - a man who Shyamlal can identify as their father's killer, and the very man who has just given Ravi a contract to kill Vinod. Did You Know?

Kishore sang the solo songs for both the male heroes - Rajesh Khanna and Rishi Kapoor - but in the duets between the heroes, Kishore very specifically told them that he would only sing the lines which the character played by Rajesh Khanna would be required to sing in the film. So Mohd.Aziz and Hariharan became the voice of Rishi Kapoor in the film for the songs Kisko Kahe Hum and Tal Betal Sara Jiwan respectively. See more »

Entertaining potboiler
21 April 2014 | by See all my reviews

This film is a multi starrer with Rajesh Khanna & Rishi Kapoor in the lead. It is the usual story of revenge written By Salim Javed. The film's director is Ramesh Talwar who at that time was Poonam Dhillon's boyfriend. He had problems with Kaka during the making of the film & this affected the release a bit.

Though the story line is old, the film manages to entertain. There is a scene involving Om Puri & Kaka which is hilarious. Kaka's romantic scenes with Poonam Dhillon shows that when it comes to romance, no one can beat Kaka. Rishi Kapoor is adequate.

Kulbhushan Karbhanda plays the villain & his confrontation scene with Kaka in a hotel is one of the highlights of the film. There is a dance sequence well choreographed by Gopi Krishna.

Music by Usha Khanna is average. The director could have handled the cast better with a strong script.

The film had an average run at the box office.
