Good story with good denouncement

A woman and her young son move into a council flat in a rundown area. She teaches him to lock doors behind him and she installs screens to prevent him from falling from the balcony - all to keep him safe. But can she keep him safe from the people she has brought into his life?

The story starts well with the mother seemingly protecting her son from the general hazards that exist in any council tower block. However it becomes clear that the real danger is from one of her ex-boyfriends who is trying to get back with her. The way the set up changes at the end of the story is really good and very interesting.

The child actor is very good while the adults only really need to provide characters who are one extreme or the other. However the simple plot and good payoff make it well worth watching.

Overall good story and good central performances make for a good short.
