Decent brocka film
Sirfaro116 July 2012
Andro (Bembol Roco) and Benjie (Philip Salvador) are members of a gang who held up a bank, things got out of hand and Benjie killed a civilian. They were able to get away with the money and went to hiding.

Alicia (Hilda Koronel) who works in a club, Benjie's love interest, went along with them. They decided to hide in a remote province which turned out to be a wrong decision. While in the market to buy few essentials, Alicia was spotted by a police and was able to trace them down through some detective works.

While on the run, Andro slowly falls for Alicia's charm, looking at her while she dips in the river and eventually kissing her when they were alone in the cave. The law, however, caught up with them and Andro takes a shot during one confrontation.

This is one of Brocka's forgotten films, tackling the issue of loyalty and the value of money. Even if they got about half a million pesos, they were not able to enjoy it because they were always on the run.

Benjie risked losing not only his freedom but also his love as they go deep into hiding. In one scene, after realizing what's happening to Andro and Alicia, he muttered "ok Lang pare (friend)", without saying what he is pertaining to.

Although not a must see, this film is decent. It portrays typical Filipino life in the late 70's (couple was surprised to find money and attempted to return it), honest police work (I don't know if it's true to life though) and true love in the part of Alicia.
