Great crap.

Another "unknown" bad movie. This made in 1980 and it tries to be action /adventure movie. This movie almost has it all, bad dubbing, bad acting etc. I like movies which are so bad that they are so good. But in this case Desperate Target is boring at times and sometimes there are scenes that make you laugh. I would give this 2 out of 10 (* out of *****)

Slumming it

I caught this one on Prime under the title EYES OF THE DRAGON. It's a really stilted, low budget martial arts thriller with very little in the way of actual thrills, just terrible production values and a dragged-out narrative. The MacGuffin is the formula for a new type of fuel that both a group of murderous mercenaries and the North Koreans want to get their hands on. A slumming-it Christopher Mitchum (when wasn't he?) is the lacklustre of the hero and he teams up with a Korean guy to save the day. There are only three or four fight scenes which play out in the most perfunctory way imaginable even though the Korean guy seems to be pretty skilled. The less said about Mitchum the better.
